Shannon Kay Peoples, born July 20, 1966, passed away on July 14, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Shannon was happiest when she was with her kids and grandkids. She had a big heart and a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at home. Whether she was cooking, sewing, or just visiting, she was always finding ways to take care of the people around her.
She proudly served in the Army as an aviation mechanic. In her free time, she loved watching Yellowstone and just about any Western movie she could find. She enjoyed the simple things—good shows, a cozy blanket, and time with her family.
Shannon also loved her Jeep and liked collecting the little rubber ducks that came along with it, but nothing meant more to her than her children and grandchildren. They were truly the center of her world, and she devoted her life to loving and supporting them.
Shannon is survived by her sons, Steven Wesley Peoples, Michael Delane Peoples, and Dustin Alan Peoples; her daughters, Delanee Kay Hopper and Jessica Leighann Barrow; and her grandchildren, Damion Casses, Kayleigh Casses, Tynzleigh Barrow, Tytan Barrow, and Mila Peoples. She also leaves behind her brother, Robbin Hopper (and his wife Grace), and her sisters, Judy Zollars (and husband Leonard), Tammi Goodspeed, and Jo Spradlin (and husband Brian).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Kay Hopper; her brother, Micheal Hopper; and her brother-in-law, Bodie Goodspeed.
Shannon will be remembered for her kindness, her laid-back nature, and the way she made everyone feel loved. She leaves behind many happy memories that her family will treasure forever
