Patricia “Pat” Chandler, a beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of November 17, 2024, at the age of 78, surrounded by her family.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 5, 1946, she lived a life marked by love, compassion, and dedication to her family and her work. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Eileen (Clancy) May, as well as her brothers, Matthew "Buddy" and William "Billy" May.
A devoted wife for 48 years, she shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Carl Chandler. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their children and creating countless cherished memories. She is survived by her three children: Christina Manning and husband Don, Elizabeth Grant and husband Shaun, and Matt Chandler and wife Amanda. Her legacy lives on through her treasured grandchildren: Tyler and Chasey, Noah, Caleb, Nicolas, Zachary, Connor, Jonathan, Christian, and Taylor. She also leaves behind her adopted granddaughter, Dallas, and her two great-granddaughters, Denver and Memphis.
Pat was a beloved and super cool aunt to her nieces, Mary Eileen Mayer and Lisa Holmes, and her nephew, Michael May, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Pat dedicated 45 years of her life to a career in nursing, embodying care and compassion in every aspect of her work. She touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues, always offering comfort and support to those in need.
Outside of her professional life, she found joy in crafting and creating handmade gifts for her children and grandchildren. Her talents and creativity were matched only by her boundless generosity, as she poured love into every stitch and detail.
Her kindness, strength, and love will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate to know her.
The family will hold a celebration of Pat’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, they ask for donations to be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
