Monty Aaron Hoeflein, 72, was born to Fritz John Hoeflein Jr and Doris (Roper) Hoeflein on July 24, 1952 in Fort Worth TX at Carswell AFB Hospital. He passed away on July 15, 2025 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK. Monty was a 1970 graduate of Midwest City High School in Midwest City OK, attended Rose State College and was a graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He grew up in a military family and had lived in several states and countries where his Dad was stationed. He spent many summers and holidays at his 2
grandparents ranch in Joplin, TX and loved returning there to visit family , especially his Grandmother, who he was extremely fond of and close to.
Monty lived a very full and active life. He was an avid golfer, a world traveler, a music fanatic, an artist, a very talented cook and quite a jokester. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Fritz John (Buddy) Hoeflein III. He is survived by his daughter, Casey Leigh Hoeflein Rooney and her husband, Ray Rooney of Tuttle, OK. He was also the proud PopPop of 3 grandchildren; Taylor, Jackson and Max Rooney also of Tuttle. Monty is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles Ray & Margie Hoeflein of Jacksboro, TX, a sister, Johnita Turner of Del City, OK and a sister-in-law, Marion Hoeflein of Lake Kiowa, TX. Survivors also include 4 nephews, several great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Memorial Service for Monty Aaron Hoeflein is scheduled for December 13, 2025 from 1:30pm-3:30pm located at Tribute Memorial Care-Southwest. 5311 OK-37, Tuttle, OK 73089.
