Margaret Jane
Tapp
Aug 16, 1936 — Sep 19, 2026
Tuttle, OK
Margaret Jane Branch Tapp, affectionately known to many as “Nana,” passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1936.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be remembered for her generous heart and the love she showed to everyone around her. She believed in loving all people and made a lasting impression on the many lives she touched.
Margaret married her beloved husband, Jimmie, at the age of 17. She later earned her GED, an accomplishment she was proud of.
She is survived by her sisters, Rita Snider id, of Baytown, TX, and Monica Findlay and her husband, Russell, of Keene, Texas; her daughter, Jenice Stafford and her husband, Gary; and her grandsons, Aaron of Tuttle and Casey of Ardmore. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ida Branch; her sisters, Jewell and June; her brother, affectionately known as “Tucker”; and her husband, Jimmie.
Margaret had a special love for her family and friends and was known for supporting her community. She was a proud Bridge Creek supporter and had a particular interest in supporting students and academics. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Margaret’s honor to the Murray State College Academic Team, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s and Dementia association.
Her kindness, laughter, and love for others will be deeply missed, but the memories she created with her family and friends will live on for generations to come.
“She loved all people, and all people loved her.”
