Lucinda Jean Redburn, age 84, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home.
Lucinda was born August 19, 1939, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, a daughter of Nora and Earl Barden. She was the fourth of 5 children and spent her childhood in Fairfax, OK. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1957, and married her life-long love Daniel Calvin Redburn on December 07, 1957, in Fairfax, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Oklahoma City and resided there for the following 10 years.
Calvin and Cinda were blessed with two children, Kimberly Diane and Gary Dan. In 1969, they left Oklahoma City, purchased land, and built their home in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Cinda was an involved mom, from classrooms to Brownie troops, from sports fields to camping trips, and no matter where she was, she always had the best snacks.
Cinda was an avid reader, and enjoyed collecting a variety of books on every topic imaginable.
Cinda and Calvin loved the community of Tuttle. Cinda enjoyed working as the Tuttle High School secretary for several years. She loved the school and the students she served, referring to them as “her kids”. Cinda then became involved in another busy hub of the Tuttle community when she was appointed to the Tuttle Tag Agency in 1984. Cinda thoroughly enjoyed the customers she met each day for the 30+ years she served. She officially retired only a few years ago at the age of 80.
When she wasn’t working, she was still working! Cinda enjoyed crafting, and gifting those crafts. Most recently, she crafted dozens of beautiful wreaths for her treasured family and friends. She participated many years in the Affair of the Heart craft show, as well as many others. Her love for creating was rivaled only by her love of hunting the items she needed for her craft creations. If she found a good “bargain” she was even happier. And, man, could she find a good bargain!
She will be missed terribly for her generosity and warmth by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Cinda’s last days were spent making Christmas wreaths and gathering Christmas gifts so that her loved ones would remember how much she cared.
Cinda is survived by daughter Kim Redburn; son Gary Redburn and wife Rachel; granddaughter Lindsay Johnson and husband Steve; grandson Zachary Redburn; and great granddaughter Braelee Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cinda is preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Earl Barden; her husband Calvin Redburn; brother Eugene Barden; sister Carol Matthews and husband Richard; sister Delores Olson and husband Russell; brother Robert Barden.
