Leo Eugene Jennings

Leo Eugene Jennings, 87, of Tuttle OK, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
Leo Jennings was born on August 28, 1934 in Big Cabin, OK, to Howard Jennings and Lydia (Cunningham) Jennings. Leo graduated from Big Cabin High School in 1953. By nature he was a hardworking soft spoken man of few words. Leo proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1954 - 1974. He went on to start his second career at Tinker Air Force Base in 1977 and retired with 39 years of service in 1995. He married the love of his life, Doris Jean Haywood, in 1957. He was a devoted husband and father to their three daughters Lori Karen, Carla Deanne and Dana Leigh. Leo lovingly cared for Doris around the clock for eight years when she suffered from dementia. He was a kind, gentle and patient soul whose greatest joy was in serving others and being with his family. Leo also loved working on his acreage and tending to his garden. Leo is survived by his brother, George Jennings of Marionville, MO; daughter Lori Hill and husband James of Tuttle, OK, daughter Carla Jennings of Tuttle, OK, daughter Dana Jennings of Tuttle, OK; four grandchildren Danielle, Tara, Jarod and Christopher and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia Dean Cunningham Jennings and Howard Jennings, wife Doris Jennings and two brothers, Carl Jennings and Kenneth Jennings. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Tribute Memorial Care Southwest, 1532 County Road 1200 Tuttle, OK 73089 with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.
