Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery
Starts at 1:00 pm (Central time)
On June 26, 2026, at the age of 78, Judy Lucille (Mosley) Hicks peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior. Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing she has been reunited with loved ones, made whole, free from pain, and is singing praises in Heaven.
Judy was born on May 29, 1948, in Levelland, Texas, to John Edward "J.E." Mosley and Virginia "Lucille" (Notgrass) Mosley. A graduate of Crane High School, she lived in Odessa, Crane, and Cleburne, TX, Stephens, AR, and most recently Tuttle, OK.
Raised in the Pentecostal church, Judy's faith was the foundation of her life. She faithfully served the Lord by helping establish churches and sharing her musical talents as a pianist, organist, and vocalist. Whether in church services, weddings, or performances for the Local and National VFW, music was one of God's greatest gifts to her.
Judy never met a stranger. Like her father, she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, and her warm smile and loving spirit created lasting friendships wherever she went.
Above all, Judy treasured her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Douglas Hicks, and her parents, John Edward "J.E." and Virginia "Lucille" Mosley.
She is survived by her daughter, Drisilla (Scott) Littlepage of Tuttle, OK; grandchildren Tori (Gary) Smart, Hailey (Anthony) Supertzi, and Morgan (Zac) Reyes; great-grandchildren Barrett, Holden, and Kaegen Smart, Kolby Supertzi, and Daniel Reyes; her brother, Edward Mosley, all of Odessa, TX; sisters Brenda Kirkpatrick of Jacksonville, TX and Becky (Fred) Parker of Joshua, TX; brother-in-law Mike (Harriet) Hicks of Odessa, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Judy found joy in simple pleasures—working word-search puzzles, playing Bingo and dominoes with friends at the Tuttle Care Center, and, of course, enjoying a Hershey bar. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends at the Tuttle Care Center, and especially to Lisa with Hospice, for the exceptional love, care, and compassion shown to Judy and her daughter.
We find comfort knowing Judy is now praising the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life. Until we meet again, we will cherish her love, her music, and the memories she leaves behind.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter thou into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23
Judy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX, on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
