Obituary

Ival Kenneth (Kenny/Ken) Hardy was born November 30, 1941, over on Red Hill between Pocasset and Minco, Oklahoma to Ival & Vera Hardy. He went to Amber Schools his entire life, graduating in 1959. After graduating, he drove a grain truck for his dad and the local co-op. After many miles delivering grain around Oklahoma & neighboring states, he went to work at Rocket Freight Lines until their closure. He purchased a truck and began his career as an owner/operator for Dalworth, driving routes between Texas, Oklahoma & Colorado. Later, he drove for Washita Freight until his retirement. In 2004, he began his full-time job as grandpa and bus driver. He absolutely loved the students of Tuttle Schools who rode good old bus #18. He drove until Spring Break of 2026 when forced to retire due to health reasons.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice, of the home; his son, Bob (Janeil) Hardy of Auburn, Washington; his daughters Kim (Terry) Kennedy of Tuttle, Kandi Link of Oklahoma City; his stepsons Bryant (Michelle) Powell of Wellston, OK, and Tracey (Kreta) Powell of Norman, OK. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Nicolas, Shae, Jerett, Magan, Cheyenne, Kaden, Jadyn, Kale, Jasmine, Kiera, Maddie and Juliette; eight great-grandchildren: Rheana, Hudson, Walker, Koepka, Karsten, Callahan, Shepherd and soon to be Gracie; his sisters, Lawanna Workman and Carla (Kevin) Hutto; his brother Windle (Carolyn) Hardy; his step-sister Carole Anne (Ken) Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews, treasured cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Vera Browning Hardy, Ival & Geraldine Hardy, infant brother Donald Ray, and grandson, Cameron Link.
