Henry Leon Moore, known affectionately to all as Leon, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, just shy of his 82nd birthday. He was born on November 21, 1943, in Atwood, Oklahoma.

Leon was a proud graduate of Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, OK. His professional life was dedicated to public administration within the same city, where he was highly respected for his work ethic and commitment to serving the community.

Family was the cornerstone of Leon's life. He is survived by his sister, Billie Kathryn McLane, who passed away shortly after him on November 22, 2025. His legacy lives on through his beloved daughter, Annette Bottero, and her husband, Randy; his three cherished grandchildren: Destiny Nicole Solis, Randi Jean Bottero, and Shelby Don Bottero; and his four great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Leon's memory will also be treasured by his many nephews and nieces, including Teresa Sires, Diana Phillips, Alina Reed, Sam Moore, Mark Moore, Allen Hansen, and Ron Hansen, as well as numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members, and friends who were all touched by his generous spirit.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Melva Moore, his brother Melvin Moore, and his nephews, Mitchell Moore, Darrin Bennett, and Jonathan Moore. They have now welcomed Leon into eternal peace.

Leon was renowned for his love of life and the joy he derived from simple pleasures. His laughter was contagious, and he had a knack for making everyone around him smile with his jokes and playful teasing. An avid fan of darts and dominoes, Leon was always up for a game and enjoyed the friendly competition. He also found pleasure in visiting the casino, sharing lunches with his buddies, and spending quality time with his granddaughter.
