Glen Allen Adams Sr, age 75, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
Glen was born March 6, 1948 in Lawton, Oklahoma, a son to Dorothy and L.B. Adams. When Glen was five years old he broke his leg and stayed at the Bone and Joint Hospital in Oklahoma City for several months. He was known for riding up and down the hallways at the hospital visiting other patients and staff. Unfortunately, just six years later, Glen broke his leg again while playing with his brother Danny. He ended up in a body cast for almost a year and had multiple surgeries. His surgeon, Dr. McBride became a good family friend.
After school, Glen went on to work at Rainbow Bread as a truck driver and Orkin Pest Control. During this time, Glen married Suzanne Summers in 1969 and were blessed with two children Lisa Doyle and Glen Allen Jr. Glen then went on to work at Clifford Owens Sausage Company for 25 years as a branch manager in Oklahoma, West Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. During this time he helped open up a new territory in Arkansas, Louisiana and North Texas. After his endeavor ended with this company, he went on to work at Reser's foods in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Also during this time Glen owned his own trucking company called Glenco and he traveled to Denton, Dallas, Fort Worth and the Houston area. After years, Glen sold his business and went on to manage special logistics for Geri Boyd in 2005.
In 2011 Glen meet Gloria Jessup when he would go into Westside Trailers to buy parts. Glen and Gloria started dating not long after. Glen would often ask Gloria to marry him. Gloria would reply that a piece of paper wouldn't change the way they felt about each other or the commitment they had made to one another. In 2019, Glen asked Gloria to marry him again and married and Gloria agreed! They were married in the Resthaven Memorial Chapel surrounded by family and friends. As they say, the rest is history. Together they bought many RV's and motorhomes and loved to travel. Glen loved motorcycles, 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, drag racing, boating, fishing and Nascar.
Glen is survived by his wife Gloria Jessup; son Glen Adams Jr and wife Kim; daughter Lisa Doyle; granddaughters Paige Adams, Tiffany Carver, Taylor Anderson, Austen Doyle; and great grandchildren Kymber, Kayden, Kamdyn, Kynlee and Karter.
Glen is proceeded in death by his parents Dorothy and L.B Adams Jr; paternal grandparents Mary and L.B. Adams Sr; maternal grandparents Annie and Buford Davis and brother Gaylon Adams.
