Donald Lewis "Donny" Hoff, age 64, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his home in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Donny was born December 24, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a son of Naomi and Albert Hoff. Although his parents marriage did not remain, Donny was lovingly raised alongside his siblings Carol, David, Linda, Sharon, Albert, Debbie, and Louise by their father in South Oklahoma City. From a young age, Donny was happiest working with his hands, especially on cars. Throughout his teen years, Donny was the neighborhood mechanic who enjoyed fixing up hot rods with his friend Robert and racing them with other muscle car enthusiast.
Donny met Janet Smith while on a double date. Their connection was immediate and they became inseparable. They were married May, 09, 1980 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Donny and Janet enjoyed living day to day life together. They did chores together, shopped for groceries, went to the casino, shopped at flea markets, and they loved working in their yard the most. Being on their homestead was where they were the most peaceful. They were over the moon with the arrival of their daughter K.C Lynn November 4, 1988. He was the kind of Daddy little girls dream of. K.C did no wrong in his eyes. Donnie wanted to be present and loved being with his daughter attending her school functions, dressing up as Santa, and always waited by the phone for his annual birthday call from her. Their relationship was special and meant the world to him.
Donny's life got even sweeter when his grandson Ayden Don was born. Donny committed from the beginning to be a steadfast presence and was honored to raise him as his own son. It wasn't long before Ayden discovered he shared the same passion for fixing and rebuilding cars as his Papa. Donny was blessed with two more grandson Jaydee and Julian. His grandsons were his world and brought so much joy to him.
Donny earned his living in the oilfield beginning in his early twenties. His Dad introduced him to working as a machinist and the two worked together at American Petroleum Institute for many years. His career lead him to work at Bowman Machine Shop and finally Maxx Machine Shop until his retirement in 2002 following a back injury.
Donny was best known for his infectious laugh, always having a smile, and would help anyone in need. He was a man of faith who made prayer a part of his daily routine. Donny was a devoted husband, father, Papa, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
