Diana Marie (McKeown) Hoeflein, 72 passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024. Diana was born on February 4, 1952 in Ponca City, OK to William H. “Jack” and Dorothy Marie (Balcer) McKeown. Diana was raised in Midwest City, OK; the only girl of five children. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1970 and also attended Rose State College. Diana’s greatest joy was giving birth to her only child, Casey Leigh in 1980. Diana was a travel agent which sparked her love of travel and gave her the opportunity to visit numerous countries. She was a gifted photographer; skilled in analogue photography. She loved dogs and cats and rescued/trained many during her life.
Diana was lovingly referred to as Bama by her grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, William H. “Jack” and Dorothy Marie (Balcer)McKeown, brothers Jack “Jackie” McKeown and Jerry McKeown. She will be missed by daughter, Casey Leigh (Hoeflein) Rooney and husband Raymond of Tuttle, OK, grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson, and Max, and brothers, Dennis McKeown of Oklahoma City and Terry McKeown of Bowling Green, Kentucky, countless extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Integris Hospice House of Oklahoma City for their caring and compassion. A celebration of Diana’s life will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 on December 13, 2025 at the event center of Tribute Memorial Care SW in Tuttle. All are welcome to come share a story.
