It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Brittanie Renea Wilbanks, who left this world far too soon on May 14, 2025, at the age of 29. Her strength, grace, and unshakable loyalty touched every life she encountered.
Born on August 4, 1995, Brittanie lived a life rooted in love, laughter, and deep devotion to those closest to her. For seven years, she worked as a store manager for Butcher Optical and Pearle Vision in Oklahoma City, where she built not just a career but lasting relationships and a reputation for dedication and excellence.
She found her greatest joy in being a mother to her beloved son, Ashton Rangel. Whether traveling together, playing games, or simply sharing a laugh, Ashton was the light of her life. Brittanie also loved spending time with family and friends, especially game nights, where her competitive spirit and quick wit often made her the one to beat. Her favorite memories were built on connections: traveling with Ashton, laughing during get-togethers with family and friends, and cherishing the small, everyday moments with those she loved.
Loyalty was more than a value to Brittanie; it was a way of life. She believed in standing by her loved ones through every storm and sunny day, and she practiced that unwavering commitment every single day. Her life was a beautiful reflection of that belief.
Among her proudest accomplishments were the birth of her son, numerous career milestones, and the purchase of her first home—each a testament to her determination, resilience, and heart.
Brittanie is survived by her cherished son Ashton Rangel; her father Mitchell Wilbanks; mother Angela Collett; stepmother Michell Wilbanks; Nana and Papa Donna and Donnie Lunsford, and Papa Daniel Prien; and her brothers Justin Wilbanks, Braxton Collett, and Brendon Collett and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, great-grandmother "granny" Mary L Bradley, and grandmothers Mitsue and Cindy, whose love she carried with her always.
Her presence, spirit, and love will be missed deeply and remembered always. Though her time here was short, the legacy of her love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in every life she touched.
