Gail Caves, age 72, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away April 29, 2024 at her home.
Gail was born on December 26,1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas. The oldest to Virginia and James Galloway. Her brother, James Michael joined the family just two years later. She graduated from Del City Highschool and then went on to work for Southwestern Bell telephone company as a service order writer and coordinator during her 25 years of service. Gail married (Gary Chatham) and from that Union they were blessed with two daughters, Aymee and Angela.
Her grandkids recall memories of car rides with her singing songs from the Mama Mia soundtrack.
She was the life of every party and drew people in with her quick wit and child-like humor.
She used to breed and show chihuahua's. She often forgot their names. We called one of them Carly/Callie/Cassie because she called the dog by those names interchangeably.
Gail met Bill Caves in November of 2007. In 2020, they decided to marry. They enjoyed holding hands, family functions, and watching Wheel of Fortune together. She was a woman of faith, loving wife and devoted mother. She enjoyed plays, visiting family and friends, playing with dogs, and keeping everyone laughing.
Gail is survived by her husband Bill Caves; daughter Aymee Hatchett; brother Mike Galloway, granddaughter Micaliah Farris, numerous cousins, 2 sisters in law Peggy Smith and family and Cristi Vela and family, and too many friends to count.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents Virginia and James Galloway.
