Diane Watson, age 75, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Diane entered the world on September 27, 1948, a daughter of Bill Barger and Lucille Camp. Her journey led her to Central High, where fate intervened, introducing her to Michael Dean Watson, her soul mate. Their eyes met, and from that moment on, their love story unfolded. On July 25, 1965, they exchanged vows in Del City, marking the beginning of their shared history. Together, they were blessed with two children, Micheal Dean Jr. and Sherrie Kay.
With the arrival of her children, she embraced the role of a devoted stay-at-home mom, deeply engaged in their lives and activities. Her warmth extended beyond her family, as she delighted in hosting gatherings and holiday celebrations, creating cherished memories within the walls of her home. For over two decades, Diane lent her artistic touch as a cake decorator at Buchanan's grocery store in South Oklahoma City.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Michael Watson; son Micheal Watson Jr and wife Christi; daughter Sherrie Thomas and husband Dennis; granddaughter Emily; grandson Colby, granddaughter Maggie; grandson Zack; and nephew Nick Long and wife Nancy.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Bill Barger and Lucille Camp; granddaughters Karis and Abby Thomas; and her sister Patti Horn.
