Charles Clinton "Chuck" White, 72, passed away on March 27, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK.
Chuck White was born on April 30, 1949 in Rush Springs, OK, to Tommie and Clinton "Sam" White.
Chuck grew up in Rush Springs and attended school there to the 8th grade during which, at the age of 14, he quit school and began working in the oil field full time.
Chuck met the love of his life, Wanda (Baker) Wood at the The 62 Club or, as Chuck liked to tease Wanda, "an old Honkey Tonk bar" in Chickasha, and just six weeks later, on July 23, 1970, in El Reno, OK, the two married. The Couple later moved to Tuttle where they made their home for almost 50 years. During their 52 years together, Chuck and Wanda's love remained strong and they raised three children, Deborah Jean "Debbie", James Richard "Jay" and Roxanne Michelle "Roxi." Chuck could often be heard saying "The best thing a man can do for his children is to love their mama and I sure do love your momma." His gruff manor and loud, larger than life presence were only dwarfed by the size of his heart and his kindness for family, friends, and strangers alike. His booming pride as well as unconditional and unfaltering love for his children and grandchildren will be forever missed and our world dimmer for his loss.
As those close to him knew, Chuck believed in never doing anything by half measures. Starting at age 14, he began his career in the oilfield where his hard headed determination, unshakeable work ethic, and wish to provide the best life he could for Wanda and Roxi, drove him to be the successfully owner of "Chuck's Rig Repair" until he retired and was able to pursue his life long dream of become a rancher and farmer full time. Chuck was also a calf roper spending untold hours in the roping arena or on horse back training roping horses. Interwoven thru all he did was his love of country music and he always had a song to describe what he wanted to say.
Chuck is survived by his wife Wanda White of the home, his daughter Debbie Tamez, Son Jay and Wife Marlene Wood, Daughter Roxi and husband Kevin Morrissey, granddaughter, April and husband Brian Hopper, grandson Kieran Morrissey, granddaughter Kaelin Morrissey, great-grandson Caden Hopper, great granddaughter Logan Hopper, Brothers Bobby White, and Marvin White, Sister Lanara Shannon, Sister-in-law Carolyn, and husband Ralf Myers as well as many nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Tommy White, grandson Brandon Wood, brothers David (doc) white, Tommy (Geno) White and Stanley White.
